I just genuinely don't get how you see the level of brainbreak this caused across the political spectrum and not understand why it was a savvy move, and if your hangup is "he was briefly polite to a bad man" I'm sorry buddy but this is a real hate the game not the player situation

yea I've talked before about how StW is The Perfect Youtuber he understands the form better than anyone, and the fact it feels organic is the difference having comedy in a review isn't inherently wrong or right it's just so jarring when people who aren't good at it feel like they *have* to do it

and as an experiment I went through a bunch of comments on this video both Top and Recent and nobody even mentions any of this stuff, everyone who cares enough about the video to comment at all is responding to the actual essay part which presumably is still good once it gets going

everyone has to be the Nostalgia Critic for some reason, except the actual Nostalgia Critic got a head injury or something at some point and started trying to be a real film critic, so noone even knows what a Nostalgia Critic is anymore, let's forget it because we have to!
