MO has got to stop giving tax breaks to those on top. These cuts shift the burden to regular folks who already have it hard enough as it is.

When state lawmakers created the program in a 2021 bill, they set it up to run on donations that are eligible for a 100% tax credit up to half of a donor’s tax liability…

In other words, the voucher program was designed to be funded by individual donations, not with taxpayer funds from our budget.

Republican lawmakers allocated over $50 million of our budget towards these private school vouchers this year and 98% of the money has gone to private religious schools.
