Replies to my Springfield post feel spot on, but I'm hoping that the political climate has shifted enough to do some good. Probably not. It seemed that in the previous "episode" the city was more supportive of the Haitian community than the racists at the national level. Hope they have Const Observs

Greed, incompetence, cruelty, racism. Lacking honesty, integrity, empathy. These cannot be the guiding principles of a government yet they seem to be what drives ours. Untold death and misery abroad, with death and destruction/disruption at home. Propped up by inaction of Congressional GOP. FAILURE.

Let's be honest. The insurrection is being perpetrated by the Federal government against the Constitutional institution of it's citizenry writ large. The armed combatants were sent by the President and the only killing has been by these Federal agents. RESIST-peacefully.

I' m from St Paul. No evidence, at all, that the US military would be required to restore order. I question whether they might protect protesting citizens, and others, from the unlawful and desperately thuggish behavior of the ICE agents themselves? They could arrest lawbreakers under the Act.
