And sometimes when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals-sounds that say listen to this, it is important. ​So write with a combination of short, medium, and long sentences. Think of your #TBR as a menu, as it encourages a more relaxed and enjoyable approach to reading. Instead of feeling pressured to finish a list, viewing it as such allows you to choose based on your current mood and interests, reducing the stress associated with a TBR list.

Been eyeing this book for a little while since @julieczerneda.bsky.social is a local author and I love me some #space #ScienceFiction, especially those written by actual scientists. I found this signed edition at the #Indigo bookstore in #Kanata and had to get it!
