I believe Erlang has a similar story. And often we “debug” in production ie the system never stops.

With #rescript I spend almost no time wrestling with the compiler. With typescript I often try the happy path then realise it can’t be done and revert to typecast.

I can’t agree more. Having a PL that is simple, very powerful and very fun to use feels surreal. I also absolutely adore its incredible compilation speed.
