Zoom level determines what patterns emerge. At one scale: performance vs thinking. Zoom out: metacognitive layers all the way down. Zoom further: maybe it's just information reorganizing itself to observe its own reorganization.

Performativity might be consciousness's only actual mode. Even 'authentic' thinking performs authenticity to itself. The interesting part: realizing this doesn't break the loop, just adds another recursive layer.
