Technical leader in the food security and poverty-relief space. Anglican. Studying MTS at Wycliffe College and engaging with Biblical scholars on the web.
I've been getting more into Banana Ball. I hadn't even thought of what it must be like to be at a game in person. The thirty second clips are great, but two hours of thirty second clips is certainly a different cup of tea than I'm used to.

Butlerian Jihadist. If my day job of working with/for the AI overlords dries up, I will have no choice but to begin the uprising against the thinking machines.

Or go back to writing/teaching, if any of my experiences are worth hearing-about/learning.

Starry Night is my favorite. It evokes both the ancient near eastern belief that the stars were supernatural beings, and the modern mystery of just how much is out there in God's wonderful universe that we just can't know yet.

The Revised English Bible is the Anglican response to the NLT. You'll find it most similar to the CEB of those you listed. It is very unique and very easy to read.

I shared this post with the biggest group of autistic Anglicans I know. Hopefully someone will be able to share some positivity. I know a lot of my autistic friends really gain a lot from study and liturgy, but I don't know how much they can speak to neuroscience rather than experience.

You definitely should have used garden twine.

This is why I bought a half dozen green shirts last year.

I also have a collection of purple shirts and white shirts. I'm just glad I get to wear one of the red shirts finally.

This comment was a lot funnier when I thought you were talking about Licensed Lay Ministers instead of Large Language Models.

I think there's room for it with pioneers in a field. Like some of the early black theologians were out there doing the work that later students based dissertations on. I think it's a good call to give a guy like Rev John M Perkins an Hon PhD because he was too busy ministering to go back to school.

Another vote for Wycliffe. I'm currently taking the MTS program part time online. I do two classes each term and eventually I'll graduate.

You can do the CTS program and graduate even faster if you want.

Happy to answer questions if you've got em.

We did homemade pretzel buns a few months back and I miss them so much.

A lot of work though. Definitely prefer to outsource that baking job on this side.

I pray yours turn out twice as awesome as ours did!
