Why should Terry get it? I really think this run has been more of an indictment of Franklin than an endorsement of Smith. I get the idea of “hire the guy who wants the job the most” but can you really fire Franklin just to hire his chief lieutenant of 12 years?

Which is exactly why this stretch is an indictment of James rather than an endorsement of Terry Smith, for me. Everything they’re doing on offense right now was available in August. Unless you believe Drew is a bum and Grunk is actually That Dude (which would be a whole other conversation)
