rant over I think, check out the book, support trans creators/writers/artists/people, and fuck Kamala Harris. Trans rights are human rights!

We need to stand up for our trans friends, family, and communities and show them that we won’t allow them to be turned into scapegoats for simply wanting to play the sports they love, create art they love, live their lives, and be who they are authentically. They deserve that and so much more.

That said, DO engage w trans people, writers, athletes, advocates, experts, people who ACTUALLY know what they’re talking about. Support them and their work and educate yourself so you can be a better ally bc they need our help defending against this attack on their rights and humanity.

Do not engage, do not entertain any of their arguments, do not give them any air to breathe. They don’t care about “fairness in sports,” they don’t care about “protecting kids,” they just want to hurt LGBTQ people and no amount of debate will change that goal. Do not engage with them.

Do not engage with this “debate” bc it’s not being discussed in good faith. Engaging concedes ground, suggests that maybe there are “some valid points.” There are NO valid points from the people who are championing this. They hate LGBTQ+ people, all they care about is hurting them any way they can.

It infuriates me that people with ZERO background knowledge, expertise, or lived experience in an area pontificate on whether marginalized communities deserve human rights.

This “debate” is a Trojan horse for anti-LGBTQ sentiment/policy to fester, and it’s working bc libs won’t shut it down.
