A huge amount of craft, collaboration and care has gone into shaping this new riverside space – led by @wolct.bsky.social project in collaboration with The Edinburgh Wheels Project & Odyssey Skateparks.

You’ll find The Dock tucked in beside Great Junction St bridge, right by the Water of Leith walkway.

This is a huge win for our community and proof of what’s possible.

This is a really good alternative now the crossing's in place (felt like running the gauntlet before). Shows how small changes can have a big impact.

The section around London Road is slightly convoluted, but, otherwise, it’s a pleasant ride and avoids mixing with traffic on all but the quietest of streets.

And here's the route – it connects lots of green spaces and is ideal for children and less confident cyclists.

It’s easy to get to by bus or bike, and just a short walk from recently relocated The Pitt, Silverknowes Promenade and Granton Castle Walled Garden.

Another good example of what can happen when derelict spaces are reimagined for people – and well worth a visit.

Permanent public toilets were the no. 1 idea in the 2021 consultation on the future of the former bowling greens area, run by Leith Links Community Council. Huge credit to them for facilitating the consultation and continuing to support the process of turning ideas into reality. 2/3
