Yes, we think many come from fish tanks! And from memorial wreaths and bouquets, butchers' shops and fishmongers, window boxes, etc etc!

Oh dear - we wish we could say they were all carefully catalogued and wrapped in acid-free tissue but it would be a lie! They’re in sheds and cupboards, boiler rooms and bottles, boxes and outhouses 😩

To be fair it's a bit of a trek for us too from the north coast but it's one of our regular haunts. Good pub nearby too!

Indeed. A few years ago, we picked up all these from one beach in a single day. We picked up more this morning. Another menace on our beaches.

Not from a shipping container - just lost, dropped and discarded construction debris that makes its way into storm drains and eventually the sea

The mystery objects we are finding are made of a floppy, bendy plastic though - aren’t the bases of slide carousels rigid?
