Have noticed an uptick of monarch butterflies in the garden 🦋 🌱 It's migration time! Some were mating yesterday and some were feeding! But no caterpillars currently.

My side yard of randomness is really flourishing in the heat and humidity. So is the plumbago in the back!

Finding a good place to scuba in the hill country, for my deep dive, was a little challenging (the lakes are very low) but we did manage briefly at Canyon Lake, but mostly in Lake Travis.

Public works had some extra concrete slabs laying around and let us (vfd) come out to practice some concrete work (drills, saws, jackhammer) with the idea of simulating accessing a trapped victim.

My parents gave me a gift card to this place for Christmas, and I went in search for this lovely fuschia and a terracotta pot to plant it in! I hope it likes this spot on my porch with morning light. 🌱
