Writer of 0's and 1's. Starting a side hustle of privacy focused apps to help people stop giving their personal data away for major corporations to sell it and/or use it against them.
Wait...if wind turbines cause radar issues, wouldn't it be better to stop it at the source? Considering how much hot air trump blows (from both ends), just have to stop him up and the problem is solved

Huh..and here I thought it was because having an app completely installed locally stopped them from selling you user metrics (clicks, typing rate, mouse movements, etc) to data brokers so they can generate accurate profiles to follow you around the Internet.
Silly me

I understand the desire to make money, but it's led to these monopolies. It's going to take time to reverse the damages that monopolies have done to true capitalism (what we have in the US is not real capitalism, it's pure greed)

Small devs don't like the idea of ads and selling user metadata. Hopefully, people will start shifting towards smaller businesses.
Additionally, small devs also share some of the blame for selling out to corporations that have a history of buying up competition and shelving it.

Another hurdle that isn't getting mentioned a lot is realignment of pricing.
The big corporations pumped out "free" software because small devs couldn't compete. Now, a large group of people expect apps to be free. Unless that's fixed, devs can't afford to make the apps.

Just goes to show that a bot really can't solve the traffic light captcha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have no doubt that Dems are going to win the mid-terms. And they will claim the margins are too thin to get anything done.
Then they're going to win the presidency and majority in Congress. And just as they always do, they will hand out passes "for the good of the country"
Ditch the 2 party system
December 22, 2025 at 12:38 AM
Why did you expect anything different? For decades the REPs push boundaries, the DEMs get reelected to fix it. When they get power the hand out passes "for the good of the country" and doesn't roll back anything. Then they lose power for not doing anything. The REPs push further..the cycle continues

Oh sweet, you got the upgraded version for $3,999.
December 18, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Ahhh, yes. Like the way Biden reversed all the BS Trump did in his first term and pushed the DoJ to hold him accountable for his crimes.

Oh....wait. That was in an alternate universe where the Dems actually stand up to fascism
December 16, 2025 at 11:58 AM
But...but...what about the CEOs and stockholders???? They need more money to finish buying their underground bunkers for when the economy collapses and everyone comes after them!

Won't anyone think of the rich???? 🤑
December 15, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Because, there's no money in it.
Once they're absolutely sure no one is using wired headphones, Apple will "invent" a wired headphone, sell it for the low low price of $1,999.99 and offer a new iPhone Pro-Jack for a mere $599 extra. And the fan boys will buy them all.

Article II: Section 69 - No Democrat will be allowed to hold any Republican responsible for crimes "for the good of the country".

The Rubber Duck isn't a fidget toy. It's a full sized rubber duck so you can talk to it. Mine is a Captain Picard Duck. There have been many times he has helped me make it so

They're busy ordering cases of them online so that they can announce that there's nothing unusual about it.

Yeah, I've had those days. Typically, git messages will go through the 7 stages of grief lol
December 13, 2025 at 3:43 PM
I'm sure the Dems will impeach and try him properly, just like they do to every elected criminal. For instance in....*checks notes*...ummm mm...

Seems that they've never done that. Soooo...maybe this time????

I need to drink more
December 12, 2025 at 6:17 AM
"maybe" implies hope....therefore this fix won't work. At least that's been my experience. When you get to the point where the commit message is a statement about the meaning of life....that's when things will work
December 12, 2025 at 6:00 AM
I'm in the process of doing that right now. HUGE mindset change! I suck at sales, so I have an uphill battle. With that said, I still really don't want to work for another company again.

Wait....I thought Canadians were required to like hockey to maintain citizenship???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
December 11, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Congrats on de-googling. For the website hosting, there's a few options that haven't been bought up by the monopolies. There are also companies like Digital Ocean that will rent you servers.
I should start up a privacy-based hosting service, but I don't think there's enough ppl making the move yet
December 11, 2025 at 6:07 AM
I can save you some time...just look at the news feeds 😔
