That said i also think it would depend on what point in her journey (in the book) to how she would react. Maybe towards the end she would have an easier time letting go and also she wouldnt wish to leave Opelli but it would be deeply conflicting for her

Yess it brought a great deal of depth to the characters which just made it all so much sweeter !

While this is a standalone it is well set up for further books and I so hope we get to see more from them! Overall this was the perfect book to get me out of a reading slump. 4.5⭐️’s for The Princess Knight

Very tender, kind, and loyal! They were both complex, beautifully written, and a joy to read and watch as they grew throughout the story. They are both bi4bi and with disability rep (Ronan with chronic pain and Clia with autism) that i think was quite well done and very relatable. 3/4🧵

Their romance was so sweet and a such a nice take on strong man and naive princess. Clia while naive and sheltered was incredibly smart (tho she made mistakes due to the gaps in her knowledge and experience), resilient, and kind. Ronan while being a strong, somewhat closed off knight, was also 2/?🧵

While the plot was quite straight forward and I guessed all the twists/reveals it was still really enjoyable and i think it was part of the fun and charm! However, the main characters made up for anything that might if lacked. 1/?🧵

Enryn is quite experienced so typically she does know what she’s talking about but she also needs to learn to step back at times and let others take control. And sometimes Turrel does in fact have a good point!
