Folks gotta wake up and realize that the UCP is NOT your parent’s Lougheed PCs. This is Wild Rose version 2.0. They’ve muscled out moderate conservatives and are breaking bread with hard core MAGA. I mean Smith flew down to Florida to raise money for Praeger U. That in itself should say it all.

They drank the coolaid that everything wrong in Alberta is Ottawa’s fault. Instead of helping the Alberta economy this kind of behaviour in the governing party is not conducive to portraying stability for outside investment.

The UCP AGM yesterday did not react well to Smith endorsing the MOU and her saying it proves “Canada works”. There were party members basically saying Alberta needs to separate from Canada anyhow. The party is basically Maple Maga with a strong contingent WEXIT seperatists. ….

To be a nit picker, the “sentient” part isnt the actual mayo itself, it’s just the mold pathogens that have grown after it was left open on the Mar a Lago kitchen counter for a week after the auto pen was used in lieu of a knife to spread mayo on a baloney on Executive Order sandwich.

Even more relevant, who would invest in a project when you don’t know what country it will be in and subject to when it’s finally built. Separatism and unstable political regimes is NOT a plus to investors.

Thanks for the info, that explains why a hard question came up. To be charitable to the other media present, I think at a certain point you just become so desensitized to “the crazy” that it’s the expected normal. Same thing as nurses working the dementia wing of assisted living.

By all accounts several are bravely resigning early so that their special election replacements get the honour of death threats when they do the right thing and start another impeachment. Land of the free and home of the brave indeed. Like Ukraine, change is going to come from people in the streets

Instead of finally standing up themselves they are taking the cowards way out and waiting for their likely (D) replacements to shift the majority and start yet another impeachment.

It should be noted that most of the “journalists” there dont represent the historical White House pool of professional news agencies and media. They are the pro MAGA ones like Breitbart, Fox, OAN. The fact that one of them actually pushed a hard question actually shows he’s losing control.

Don’t let it get you down. Sadly I think much of the world is waking up to the fact that even the countries that were seen as not corrupt, just hid it better. The US is a cesspool so anything their officials say means nothing. Even here in Canada things are starting to fall apart.

As a CAF vet I would like to congratulate all of you on the right and the left from east coast to west coast. This is the insane demonizing rhetoric that started in Yugoslavia about a decade before IFOR started identifying and exhuming mass graves. Let’s all just turn down the heat.

I would not be surprised if this becomes a common “Where’s Waldo?” exercise in making it as difficult as possible to participate. After all, the recall was designed by Wildrose to recall “lefties”. A small taste of being a blue voter in a red US state.

Recent actions. There are recalls initiated against 14 UCP MLAs. And for what it’s worth, as a CAF vet, when I see politicians talking separation and angry crowds there is a very real possibility of mass graves in someone’s future. Let’s all just chill out here please.

Has been taken over by extremists. The pipeline was NEVER actually about a pipeline but a wedge issue designed to make Ottawa look like an anti-Alberta villain. Carney didn’t bite. It’s now up to ordinary Albertans to decide if their government is actually representing their values given the UCPs…
