I was more meaning what went in the bit i've circled. The blue boarder is straight edged, suggesting there was sth there once over...

Indeed!!! Incidentally, it was (weirdly) 66 007 coming trundling through Manchester Oxford Rd first thing this morning that delayed my train to work 🤦‍♂️ must have been all the staff ogling the shiny painted mirrors!!! 😉

Salford Central has recently been resigned to this spec...

@showmeasign.online Can't tell you the number of times I've walked past this little blue boardered beauty! Can't be that many left now in the middle of Manchester 🤔

Paging @doublearrow64.bsky.social someone has picked up version 3 of the Wayfinding guidance in the North West! Salford Central has had its second resign in 18 months and looks much better for it.

The G-Mex ones are still there although there is only one orange parking sign still showing, the rest vinyled over... I assume they also once lit up at night...

I've seen this on the telly recently, and just found it now on a webpage, so I have to ask @doublearrow64.bsky.social, what do you think of it? 🤔

Huge vibes with this one!

Morning all. Not the best photo sadly but these must be a rare thing on the railway... There can't have been a huge amount of signs with "RailTrack" on them. This one by the cement works near Salford Central is hanging on... @doublearrow64.bsky.social @showmeasign.online @rclongauthor.bsky.social

The best version in my book! Hehe!

Meanwhile, back at the Oxford Rd Tap opposite Oxford Rd Station, Manchester... 👀 @doublearrow64.bsky.social @rclongauthor.bsky.social @gawuffy.co.uk

Another in the series of "odd places to find the double arrow" is this sticker on a lamp post on Ancoats in Manchester. After dismissing this as the new GBR logo (!) I did wonder, has any other logo been adopted by society as much as this one? @doublearrow64.bsky.social

Another little relic still clinging on, no clues where this one is @doublearrow64.bsky.social ! 🤣

I got so giddy as this is my area, I forgot ALT text... 🤦‍♂️ So here it is again, complete with ALT text and a bonus picture to boot as this topic is right up my street!!

A major water leak on Princess St in Central Manchester has revealed some lovely original tram lines..! #hiddenmanchester

Given the good work they've been doing at Manchester Victoria of late, I have to ask, what on earth is this recently fitted at Manchester Oxford Rd... 🤦‍♂️
April 7, 2025 at 5:49 AM
Still there, still missing the "double arrow" which always niggles when I pass by..!
April 1, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Last ones for til they come back and fit more. Haven't seen any signs on stairs like these or the narrow rectangle too...
April 1, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Thought I'd go home via Victoria again and photo some of the other signs that have been fitted. They've only really done signs upto Platform 3. The huge Totem style one above the ticket gateline is not one I've seen before...
April 1, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Ooh, what's this @doublearrow64.bsky.social ? Manchester Victoria finally getting shot of those awful (ariel bold??) signs!! Haven't done them all mind but it's a start!! How did it used to go? "We're getting there" 😆

Post redone after I remembered how to add Alt text to the pictures.
