Even finding caregivers right now is very difficult, and they really don’t make a lot of money. I feel for you. Can I ask what state you’re in? I can try to look up a few things for you. I know a little about this stuff. Our own caregivers are extended family members, we are very fortunate.

Please look into getting a social worker, they are very adept at finding resources and situations that you qualify for, especially when you are so ill.

That’s too bad. In the meantime, while you’re trying to find help, Medicare will pay for Skilled Nursing Facility for up to 60 days. I get how it feels to not be the one who needs help, same here.

Check with your local Medicaid office, they cover in-home care and will help you hire somebody. You don’t have to pay for it
