Aspiring writer of folklore and superstition. Teacher of history. Red lipstick of rebellion.
I am disillusioned, There are a lot of people that I have had a good opinion of at one time, who no longer hold that position in my head. I just need to accept the fact that there are a lot of racist people who only care about their life and the lives of people who look like they do.

For some of us when a storm hits, it hits hard. I'm not dancing at that point. I'm trying to keep myself dry. My hair is plastered to my head and the wind has knocked me around so hard, I don't know which direction to go.
Guess what? Just take the step and eventually you will find your way again.

I just hope there is an America when it's finally over.

I'm tired of acting like everything is ok. America is dying in front of our eyes.

Maybe everyone thinks someone else will do something to stop this madness.

This hit me hard. I'm a Social Studies teacher in a small town, in a red state. I feel like I have to be careful what I post. Yet, I want to be brave and stand up for what I believe in!

The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity

We must never forget this crucial passage from the Declaration of Independence. May all those who have the power to act – summon their courage, see the whole chessboard, seize the moment – and save our country. A book of etiquette is of no use when Fascism is knocking down our door.

I explained to 5th grade about slavery. I said, " The only way to ensure that something as terrible of slavery doesn't happen again is to never allow one group of people to believe themselves better than others."
Isn't that a terrifying statement?
