The fall of the Berlin Wall began 36 years ago OTD.

I traveled by train through the Wall from East Berlin into West Berlin in 1983. The entire train was searched, including the undercarriage with mirrors on wheels to look for anyone trying to escape. Snipers in lookout towers oversaw No-Man’s Land.

Trump is posting about tariffs and the economy.

At this point, I can’t tell to what extent he is ignorant, being lied to, or simply making things up, but his posts are divorced from reality.

I won’t give Axios the benefit of the doubt for good faith here, but I would imagine this will only serve to strengthen Talarico as a candidate. He comes across as perhaps less butch than is ideal for running in Texas, and this offsets any such perception. His campaign’s response hit a perfect note:

I’m not going to post screenshots and inadvertently spread Islamophobic propaganda, but X accounts—including large accounts and well-known names—promoted the “taqiyya” narrative during the NYC mayoral campaign enough that Mamdani’s name comes up in combination with the term in the search function:

In a fear-mongering hit piece, the Washington Post Editorial Board calls the newly elected NYC mayor “Generalissimo Zohran Mamdani”:

Barack Obama congratulated Democrats generally. Bill and Hillary Clinton congratulated Zohran Mamdani specifically.

The last posts on the X accounts of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are ones expressing grief about the death of Dick Cheney.

In case anyone was wondering.

Accepting the 1936 nomination, FDR made a speech the language of which Zohran Mamdani mirrored last night:

“These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power.“

This is Democratic language.

“The Oval Office” is now painted in gold script on the outside of the Oval Office at the White House.

Maybe in case Trump forgets where he is?

This argument is why I said last night that it was important for Mamdani to win with an irrefutable lead beyond the totals of Coumo and Silwa combined.

Which he did 😊

Interesting omission by Buttigieg, lol.

(Nothing comes up in search either.)
