Do you know if this anthology is replacing the annual Drama Specials or in addition to that series? I haven't seen any press about the DS this year.

I'm always fine with tropes when they're done well. There's a reason they are tropes after all - because they can make great stories!

I rewatch what I call my anti-stress dramas pretty regularly. There's some I watch nearly entirely, skipping only a few scenes I know are unnecessary or annoying.

Most of the time, though I only watch the funny and/or soothing bits. I can rip through 16, 24, even 30+ ep show in a (long) evening!

I love this review format. The fashion crimes are so vivid in my head.

I'm thinking about it, although with the melodrama tag I plan to wait until it's fully aired before committing to 12+ hours of emotional turmoil.

Nearly all the movies I watched were Japanese (7 of 11), so that balances the numbers a little.

The Bali episode was a weird digression shoehorned into a show for thematic reasons that could have been done better. I'd completely forgotten about it until your posts. All their other little healing/learning quests were much more coherent.

I referred to Johan as Korean Hot Priest for quite a while after watching Island. Because damn...

I was never particularly interested in watching this version (though I have the Thai adaptation bookmarked somewhere), however your recap had given me great joy and now I need to find pictures of the fashion crimes!
