The problem is the lack of SFM for deadlock. Now there is CSDK for deadlock so it's possible, but multiple layers make it harder.
I wanted to make one myself eventually, haven't seen anyone make one yet. But it will exist eventually I think

Speaking of slop remasters, Deus Ex Remastered looks god awful. I genuinely can't imagine a single living soul who would actually want that.
The only upside is being able to play the game on the newer consoles, but it doesn't excuse this level of "quality".

Autopsy managed to find all the partitions and the files, and at the moment I am halfway through the process. In a couple of days the recovery process should be done.

But at least in this image there are about 500-700 KB of faulty data. On the actual disk itself at this point there are about 300 GB of dead sectors.
For the past couple of days I was using Autopsy to recover as much data as possible from the image, so far so good.

Btw disk degradation escalated quickly. I managed to create a disk image with ddrescue rather early, but even then right during the process the degradation already killed the partitions table and MFT.

there are a lot of very neat tools for creators, but are they worth anything if there's a high chance to get banned or false flagged like that?

the weird part is -- judging from reviews and reddit posts, I'm far from being the only one and it happens way more often than it should
and if so -- then it kind of discourages people from creating any content on the platform and/or staying here
