Beautiful photos! I had the same experience out past Granville and it felt like a unexpected surprise when crescent moon came up huge and low, glowing through those spooky clouds under the pink sky. It was such a good moment to share

Small local actions, accomplishable tasks, can have generational impacts that can lead to real change and change lives.

Don’t get overwhelmed by the scale of the crisis in a way that keeps you from doing any actions. Small wins can snowball into much larger ones, in ways you don’t always expect!

Unfortunately, there is no practical
way to stop the deterioration without
changing the character of the bog
environment. Just how much time
the island has before it disappears is
unknown. Cranberry Bog remains today as one of the most unique and fascinating natural areas in the nation

…expanded like a giant water-logged sponge and rose 8 feet with the new water level. No longer did the floating bog mat surround the glacial lake as is typically the case with bogs. Now the lake surrounded the bog mat, the only known such occurrence of its kind in the world. 🌱4/
