At the root of it is an emotion: a frustration that OSS developers by and large make less for doing more worthy things. It's the nurses-vs-celebrities debate. "Fixing capitalism" is a doozy.

The initial Polish keyboard layout standard was some sort of a QWERTZ abomination that I blame Germans or the Swiss for.

Luckily, someone then decided to ignore all that nonsense and go back to standard US layout with AltGr (right alt) to get the funny letters (we have a good crop: ąćęłńóśżź).
