No air traffic controllers, no food inspections, no pollution regulations, no public schools, no weather services...we are well on our way.

We desperately need the military to dial it back, stop consuming all our resources and become realistic about needs vs. wants. Oh, and to dump Hegseth, and refuse Trump's illegal orders. Q

88 in ham radio speak is something like "love" or"hugs and kisses." My ham Dad signed all his correspondence with family with 88. It makes me sad that the Nazis have transformed something so sweet into something so vile.

In the long run, it's far cheaper to pay for vaccines than the damage diseases can do. But CEO pay packages are determined by short term profits, so yeah, vaccines will be out of pocket.

Yes! Take the money funneled into those illegal actions, and give it to rehab programs, mental health centers, etc. If demand falls, the suppliers leave the market

I have started growing my own garlic. Easiest plant I have ever done. Plant it in October, forget about it. First half of June, harvest the scapes, back half of June, harvest the bulbs. If you have access to a small amount of land, I highly recommend it.

I grew up in Chicago. The city rarely got around to plowing our neighborhood. The neighbors started pooling their money and hired a private contractor to clear the streets. Decades later, they still hire it out. And of course, the city is fine with that -less work for them to do.

I like thrift stores because the donated clothing is often a higher quality than current retail products. The jeans are a much sturdier denim, with deeper pockets. T-shirts are a heavier fabric, etc. Some items may not be stylish, but they also don't come apart in the wash.

In these times, anyone that puts an (R) after their name is telling me all I need to know about their character. I don't care if it's a small local election, if a candidate is willing to tolerate MAGA in their party at any level, they don't get my vote.
