It was called "veterinarian by accident" by Phillip Schott, I've read it quite a long time ago but I enjoyed it! It's sometimes written in more informal and funny ways but it also has some statistics and actual opinions on the job

I've read a book about veterinary and I also didn't pursue it because of the depression rates, it's genuinely such an interesting thing but the amounts of bad stuff that happens is too much for me :( (but I'm generally looking into studying stuff like marine biology, botany or mushrooms hehe)
