I wouldn’t elect any person to the role of Prime Minister if they couldn’t predict the bleeding effing obvious, and it was always bloody obvious trade would be more difficult once you left the trading club for easy trade. The cheerleader 📣 of Brexit has some gaul saying otherwise

Looking anew at LS Lowry’s work. This piece from 1949 painted in Manchester, birthplace of the industrial revolution has tall chimneys billowing black clouds, choking the city with deadly smogs, pumping out tons of climate changing gases and the central figure anxious, disbelieving #climatecrisis

I was reminded today that recycling and reuse of building materials isn’t new, as I spotted this and two other millstones making up the internal stone roadway of 14th Century Castel Sant Elmo at the peak of Vomero Hill overlooking the Gulf of Naples

I am travelling in Italy, I ticked a big item off my bucket list, the Bosco Verticale in Milan by Boeri Studio architects. A staple of most sustainability PowerPoints over last 10 years it didn’t disappoint up close. What disappoints is the lack of copycat projects - this development remains unique

In the run up to the election, Labour promised to deliver two million more NHS appointments within a year. They did it seven months early. Probably explains why Wes Streeting looks a bit manic in this pic.

I just finished Henry Miller’s 1934 classic, Tropic of Cancer. For a 90yr old book, this para describing his fellow countrymen seemed very current. I guess not much changes 🫤
