From my experience trains are generally a lot quieter, the noise is often from people chatting in groups, which I can tolerate much better.

White boomers do enjoy loud phone calls though!

Yeah I don’t think they’re propaganda or anything, they’re just immensely jarring (and my blog explains why). I think you’re right that whoever designed these advert is fearful that if they ‘reflect reality’, that they’ll be accused of ‘perpetuating stereotypes’.

I also wonder if this issue affects other sports? If anyone has any experiences of being a casual/aspiring player of a different sport, I’d like to hear about their experience.

I guess he is being honest, sounds like he is holding up well!
