Aw your hair person sounds nice xD as a neurodivergent myself - I cut my own hair for DECADES - recently went to a Salon and requested a fellow neuro-spicy person for a "top-up" aka, get rid of dead ends and actually have a 360 view of my head! Now I just do it myself
