Modern synthetic oils degrade after 5 years, although you can probably safely push the usage for another 3-5 so maybe 10 years before the next service is due. I'm afraid thats not 50 unless you only store it for 40 years until it goes for the next service 🤣. Sad reality for many cheaper Seikos...

If it does and it won't be a daily wearer, maybe use as is? Otherwise get it serviced if it has enough value (sentimentally or actual) and you wish to use it more often. The components will otherwise wear out given enough time.

Just be prepared for it to easily cost 300-500 bucks if it's a proper service(reoiling etc). Most Seikos for that reason never see any maintenance since it can easily exceed the watch's value. Does it keep time accurately as it is?

Go on youtube, check out wristwatch revival or watch repair channel. Get addicted, buy tools and fresh oils/gaskets. Learn new hobby and find a new money pit 👍
Otherwise if it has not been serviced in more than 5 years (oils break down after that), get it serviced. Gaskets are prob. deterioated too.

Hmmm... could you run some benchmarks 🤣

Now it just needs a hinge for it to be a nice thick SP clone 😆

Ooh what's this 🤔

It says you have implemented dedicated 32x16 mul, I assume that would also be a QERV/serial implementation since a full multiplier would be kind of expensive?

Still very impressive seeing a functional Risc-V SoC on tiny tapeout without using a huge amount of tiles. Using QSPI is also nifty to keep IO count low. Is the TT10 variant significantly different from the TT6?

So what you need is some dedicated DCT hardware for primitive mpeg1 decoding in the next tapeout 😂

It's not hoarding if they can be used as parts for the next handheld 🤔
