I bought some nice fresh Ontario grown pork at Foodland yesterday. Inexpensive, a nice pork loin roast (6.85), ground pork for tourtiere (5.99) and some thick pork loin chops (6 for 7.85). All together under 20 dollars. We had some chops last night and they were tender and delicious.

I know how you feel. I have recently had mice in my car. Tried everything but the only solution had to be traps. I don't see the cute Christmas mice the same anymore.

On top of that the new blue bin service won't collect beer or wine bottles for recycling in Ottawa. Circular Materials says you will not be allowed to throw out beer, wine and liquor bottles.

I remember years ago (40) getting stuck on a train between Montreal and Ottawa. The train slowly rolled to a stop in the middle of a massive corn field. It was definitely giving me Children of the Corn vibes after recently seeing the movie. It became really spooky once the sun began to go down.

Was thinking of investing but may not realize any returns for about 15 years..... maybe something to pass on to my children.

Do you ever ask yourself why you are still using Amazon?
December 5, 2025 at 2:44 PM
Yes. I finally watched it in its entirety last year and wondered, why have I never watched this before?

We had that too, our Christmas stockings always had those nuts in them. I kept the nut crackers and picks. We use them for lobster dinners, they are great for cracking the shells and getting the small bits out.

Tina Turner got my car radio cranked up today! Cranked way up.

No that is not what I hope. I hope that it won't go through and that he realizes it but made an effort to appease Alberta anyway. Not ideal at all. I get what you are saying.

I really hope you are right and that Carney is playing a long game here. But...is he?
November 27, 2025 at 11:55 PM
There have been a lot of things that I "am hoping" Carney knows or knows what he is doing. But recently I am wondering does he... does he really?

A lot of great products here. I thought I was done my Christmas shopping but those floral baby blocks are beautiful and the honey fudge.......

Wow, just when I thought I was done my Christmas shopping. I have purchased some of these items in the past. I gave my daughter the gorgeous pottery canoe set one year for Christmas.

Anecdotally, from my experience and those of friends and family, the Moderna vaccine has shown more unpleasant side effects. There are those who have not experienced any as well. I go for the Pfizer based on that.

During the great ice storm in 1998 we didn't even need toboggans. We just flew down in our snow pants. Sooo much fun and a great memory for my kids!

Yes, homemade broth is the best. I make it at Christmas and Thanksgiving from my turkey. I use a lot of chicken broth for soups so can't keep up to the amount needed. I will check out this brand.

/2 I think that I will now look for a Canadian made broth. I think the Compliments brand is made in Canadian. Does anyone know of any others?

We haven't eaten their products in a long time either. The soups became bland and watered down. I do buy Campbells stocks though to make my own soups.
