I’ve done the Fleegle heel (or strong heel I think for those that knit top down) and it’s a little like that. I need to do it again in a vanilla sock to wrap my head around it though.

Oh I need to get myself this chart! Lighting inside the store always messed with my thread match anyway.

Pairing two sizes of gingham is such a cool look. I love this.

Aww thank you!! I’m halfway through its pair and went a little rogue with a different heel type I haven’t tried before. Fingers crossed I can get this one to fit too. They’ll be sisters not twins 🤣

I like the muddled cotton candy look of the blue and magenta on this sock, but you’re so right. The contrast of the white helps it feel more complete.

Aw thank you! That was a big one for this toe up sock! I even made a version before this that was far too big because I was so worried about it. Excited that I’m close to nailing my sweet spot and make some fun designs.

Very handy! And a great tip for this pattern. The two color option probably wouldn’t look as nice with the magenta and blue. I’ll remember to check “ugly” colors in the future too!

Beautiful makes! And thank you for the caption. It made me cackle 🤣

Thank you! I had to look up the tag to see that it was dyed with Madder root. It can make some lovely reds and pinks based on what I could find.

I swear I had a matching shorts and shirt out of that exact Recycle fabric as a kid. Love the mix of the two!

Oh my heart! Everything you make is delightful! I’m quickly becoming a big fan after reading your PrintMag article over my morning coffee. Thanks for sharing your art with the world!

I should also say this is the size 30 of the JJ size range and they fit the over 6’ tall recipient pretty well out of the envelope with some lengthening at the torso and leg lines.

I love this! Definitely joining in.

I keep thinking I need to do a practice fly before my next pair where I take detailed photos or video of the construction.

I really love the fit! The perfect balance of tailored but I can still sit crisscross with my toddler on the floor. They are also much better after she pushed out an update to the pattern. The zipper always trips me up though. I’ve made 3 pairs now and each one is ever so slightly different.

Hi, I’m Lauren! Nerdy details and pretty guts is my love language. I’ve been a hobby sewist since I was little and have been teaching myself to knit for 3 years. I make and forever mend things for me, my partner, and our 2 kids. I love to follow along with other makers’ creative processes.
