Celebrating my birthday 🎉 with a preventative mammogram this week. Don’t forget to get your checkups and preventative services! Mammograms, pap smears, colonoscopies, prostate exams are not fun, but from personal experience cancer and cancer treatments are a lot more painful (and expensive).

8 years ago today, Republicans in the House voted to take away my health insurance (and that of millions of Americans). The day after my first chemotherapy. Now they're getting ready to attack our health care again.

We cannot go back to a time where people didn't have chronic diseases because they didn't REACH middle age.
