i’ve only ever done 30s per position, so 1:30 for each hip for each “set” and i’ve progressed with ankle weights instead of lengthening time

on reflection i guess even pretty drastic shits in the median shouldn’t always be expected to impact the top end. if you’re taking the MCAT, LSAT, or GRE with high aims you’ve never been competing against the median student for admission to a professional school or PhD program anyway

maybe in the great downfall of university educations there’s a weird effect for some people like me where it nets out as being beneficial to us. meaning those who like, actually learn shit? idk. still very depressing on the whole

and i can certainly see how relying on it to do work for you can be extremely detrimental, particularly when you’re already behind on other skills

i have all the reflexes to approach school and studying fairly “normally”? and at least enough good sense to only use LLMs as tools to, eg, do handwritten note transcription and help prepare flashcards and things like that rather than going to it to answer specific questions or assist with things

certainly more so than it seems the anecdotes about “today’s students” from professors and students themselves would have led me to believe. and maybe i’m just in a bubble with other already graduated adults who are highly motivated in the same way as me, but i don’t see much of any of this myself
