Great pod as always, but came here to say that ‘A Good Heart’ which you sang so …what’s the word? Anyway, you sang…was apparently originally written (by Maria McKee) for a bloke called Tom Petty. You may have heard of him.

It IS a bloody diamond! One of my favourites on this album, just below top tier Tom. And the piano notes on the outro are like glints of light catching a diamond’s surface.

It’s one of those languid, authentic songs - perhaps more typical on Echo - that Tom does great. And your podcast is great at refocusing on a track, and having listened again, a song that can get squashed on the CD among songs that shout louder, this sounds huge.

I also have both of these on tape. In fact The Game on tape was my first Queen album, back when i was 9

CHAMPION’S ALIVE! The Batshit Crazy bits of dialogue work fantastically within Brian basically doing the musical equivalent of thunder and lightning. Plus a nice shoutout to “Dispatch WarRocket Ajax” a line i got to deliver on Recovering Queen’s cover (a lifelong ambition i never knew i had!)
