Akershus Rød Ungdom arrangerte en demonstrasjon mot konferansen, med representanter for Pasientorganisasjonen for kjønnsinkongruens til stede. «Nylig ble forskere på transhelse møtt med hatanklager i Oslo», skrev Aftenposten i sin omtale av saken. Både fagfolk og pasientorganisasjoner er uenige om hva som er den beste behandlingen for personer med kjønnsinkongruens, særlig barn og unge. Noen vil stramme inn, andre vil liberalisere.

Å kalle tranfolks holdning til NBTKs forskning "politisk skepsis" er i best fall tonedøvt og uinformert, når vi så lenge har blitt utsatt for uetisk forskning med så dårlig metodikk at den undergraver sitt eget mål.
Denne mistilliten har NBTK mer en fortjent.

Just learned of an interesting Half Life 2 mod called The Burton Equation.
Haven't tried it yet, but one thing I super appreciate seeing on the Steam page is this declaration at the bottom.
Just as using "AI" is the quickest way to kill my interest, taking a firm stance against it draws me in.
"No AI-generated content was used in the creation of this mod!"

This whole conference has been very refreshing and invigorating.
The fight for trans rights and health often feels hopeless and lonely, so being in such a big room full of passionate people working to counter the mainstream transphobic narrative with peer reviewed science is so healing

At NBTK slipper unna med bullshit-retorikk og konvertering mens HKS saboteres burde være en nasjonal skandale.

I've posted a negative review of The Alters, calling for @11bitstudios.bsky.social to remove/replace all AI generated content in the game. If you have bought the game yourself, I encourage you to do the same.
If AI made you not buy the game, please say so.
Make it clear that this is not acceptable.
"I adore what I played of The Alters (I got about halfway I believe), but I cannot recommend it in good conscience as things currently stand. The game features multiple instances of AI generated content, including images and text. The Portuguese localization of the game was also done in ChatGPT, with little quality assurance. It is not known how much more of the game was made with generative AI at this point. The marketing of the game also heavily utilized gen-AI. This has created a deep distrust towards the developers for me and many other potential players who do not wish to support a game that does not support real human artists. Gen-AI is a deeply unethical technology that is effectively a plagiarism machine trained on stolen artworks and text, and used to take work away from real human artists. It is unacceptable to me that this is being sold, especially without disclosure. Since I did not discover the AI content in the game until long after my refund window expired, I am instead leaving a negative review. IF 11 bit studio issue an official apology and patch the game to replace all AI generated content in the game with humane made material, I will gladly recommend the game again and change my review to a positive one. Until such a time, I can't recommend this game to anyone. I encourage anyone who can still refund the game to do so, and I encourage those who can't to leave a negative review as well."

Additionally, I found out the devs heavily used AI for marketing.
I am genuinely upset about this. I was enjoying The Alters so much, and the stench of AI has tainted it.

Been borderline sick from stress recently and had to put some projects on hold because of it, but I did start drawing lil stickers with paint markers as a hobby and that has been real nice so far. Easy to pick up, low stress, and all I need fits in a pencil case

Minner om at OUS/NBTK mener at psykoterapi kan gjøre kjønnsbekreftende behandling unødvendig, som impliserer at de behandler transbarn med hensikt om å få dem til å endre eller fornekte sin kjønnsidentitet.
Det har vært god grunn til å mistenke konverteringsterapi lenge.
