Not afraid to be rather unpatriotic as well apparently.

I hope it's mostly aluminium not steel? Al is more resistant to corrosion and can be recycled more easily with lower energy cost.

Danny from south Birmingham wants to close down every hospital in the UK. It shouldn't be difficult to explain why he probably wouldn't actually want what he stands for.

It does feel like the rulebook has been torn apart; nobody is sure what they're supposed to do.

This is a graph of the Nationwide real house price index. In real terms, adjusted for inflation, house prices have come down quite a lot since they peaked in 2007.

Primogeniture is an old trick to stop land from being subdivided on inheritance, and maintain it in large bundles, while most people are squeezed into small houses in urban areas.

This is the key point; it's so easy to think of your home as "safe" and "out there" as unsafe, but in fact it's the opposite.

Slightly more people don't want less traffic. It's a double negative, but this means, on balance, people want *more* traffic in Birmingham? I think the city's transport problems will be around for some time.

I'm amazed at this: 30% believe there's electoral fraud in the UK 🤪. In person, such fraud would require forged documents. By post, the registration and the actual vote are checked. There's very little fraud, and it doesn't impact the electoral outcome.
