Whenever I worry about starting off a new series, fretting that if I don't capture a reader's attention with the perfect joke immediately I'll lose them forever, I just look at the first Peanuts comic and remember you just have to start somewhere.
The first-ever "Peanuts" comic strip, which debuted on Oct. 2, 1950. The strip shows two kids sitting on the street as another walks by, one of them says "Well! Here comes ol' Charlie Brown!", "Good ol' Charlie Brown...Yes, Sir!", "Good ol' Charlie Brown...", and finally "How I hate him!"

Finally done my next short story! I've changed...everything...about my usual process and I'm pretty thrilled with the result.
