What an amazing place - The Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo. Pack crowd for “Ed Wood” and a fun Q&A with Randy Haberkamp. Plus good popcorn, live organ and a sing along! Can’t wait to come back - this is a very cool theater.

My movie loving pal Randy Haberkamp is showing “Ed Wood” at the Old Town Music Hall in El Secundo this Sunday afternoon 11/9. It’s important to support these beautiful classic single screen theaters so I’ll join him for a Q&A before the film at 2:30pm. prod5.agileticketing.net/websales/pag...

What time is it?
Bob: There are no hands on the clock.
Comrade Josh: Why?
Bob: Because they're not needed.
Comrade Josh: What time is it?
Bob: Uhh, fuck. You know, I don't remember that part. Let's not nitpick over the passwords.

So many great Diane Keaton performances: Annie Hall, Reds, Shoot the Moon, The Godfather, Love & Death, Sleeper, Mrs Soffel, Something’s Gotta Give… TFH devotes this entire week to her films starting with her emotionally raw work in Looking For Mr Goodbar trailersfromhell.com/looking-for-...

“A whole festival of movies in one movie” is how @thenyff described today’s screening of the 4K restoration of “SHOLAY” the three and a half hour classic Hindi musical western extravaganza from 1975.

Excited for the NYFF presentation tonight - a new restoration of Erich von Stroheim’s “Queen Kelly” - best known today as the silent film Gloria Swanson screens for William Holden in “Sunset Blvd.” And she’s right - they did have faces then.

I love newspaper letterpress printing blocks for old movie ads. Here’s one I got recently for a full page in Variety announcing the boffo grosses on “Billy Jack”

Stumbled upon a 35mm film can labeled: “Deliverance” dailies - Reel 1. I got excited but, alas, it was nothing. No secret John Boorman stash of white water outtakes. I was hoping for at least a few Burt Reynolds bloopers.

Yes, I did play Richard Dreyfus in a parody that took on both JAWS and Brian De Palma’s THE FURY. The shark in this movie had telekinetic powers!! I think there were some GOODBYE GIRL jokes in there too (“I don’t like the panties on the boat.”)
