3/3 He was a sulker, esp after a cattery stay. He passed v suddenly in 1993. Vets said they couldn't do anything, so we helped him pass. 32 years and he's still very much loved. Beautiful memories of a large handsome boy. He's buried in our back garden under a tree.

I'd had dogs as a kid and didn't want a cat. But he was super cute. On his vaccination card, he was Leon Trotsky, to us he was Trotsky or Trotty. He was a real charmer and character. He would go wild for roast salmon. He was so good when our daughter was born in 1988, never scratched at her. 2/3

I honour of @charliebrowntc.bsky.social, I thought I'd dig out some photos of our first cat. We got him in 1983, when my wife went for a night out to her friends. She came back on the bus with a cardboard box, which contained a tuxie kitten. Her friends cat had kittens who needed a home. 1/3
He came out, goblin eyed, rolled on the floor on his back, then pulled himself, round the armchair below X3 using his claws on the chair, rolling each time. My wife went to give him a rub but he went to bite. I talked to him and he calmed down and let me rub him, then lay grooming himself.

Really not sure what was going on last night. They both got their chicken breast meal at 9.30 ISH as usual. Iggy normally gets on top of the cat tower and does a #Hedgewatch. But last night, he went into the grey donut, see photo below, normally only Ella uses it. There was loads of scratching. 1/2

Iggy and Ella with a great toy. We don't leave it out all the time, just bring it out now and again to keep it fresh. It has a fast, slow and random mode, we use random.
Great to see Iggy play, even if not vigorously.

He's back! Normal service has been resumed as Iggy returns to his usual evening hang out spot, one of the two box beds sat on the long footstool.
