Check if your state has a work program where they pay for training to increase employability, and see if you can go through them. My state is paying for me to learn full stack, which is pretty cool.

I really like his narration, but other people I know agree with you. Maybe I just like the books I have listened to enough that I don't notice the problems? IDK, but Kaiju Preservation Society, Lock In/Head On, and Starter Villain are some of my favorite re-listens.
