It’s 2026 and generative AI is still at the center of the tech conversation — for better or worse.

In light of that, this week we’re replaying a great interview with @karenhao.bsky.social about OpenAI and the model of AI development pushed by Sam Altman.

there’s plenty of internet for all of us, there’s literally no need for more data centers

🗣️BIG NEWS: Take Back Tech III is coming in April 2026! 👏🏾

With Big Tech companies pouring billions into data centers that destroy our communities + planet and making millions in government contracts to fuel mass deportations, we MUST fight back.

What Duran Duran did, what the Timberwolves did, what Steve Kerr and Doc Rivers said, what the actors who wore pins did, etc etc etc all are signals/signs to the rest of us of what time it is on the clock of fascism.

From license-plate readers to drones and cell-site simulators, ICE relies on a growing web of surveillance.

Here’s how hackers are shining a light on it—and why that matters. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
How Hackers Are Fighting Back Against ICE
A few enterprising hackers have started projects to do counter surveillance against ICE, and hopefully protect their communities through clever use of technology.

No photos to share, but the ICE Out of OKC demonstration had a great turnout with lots of energy and *lots* of support from vehicles passing by.

One sign had an enduring message from one of Oklahoma's best: "All you fascists bound to lose."

and where do ICE agents/prison guards practice their suppression of dissent? in ICE prisons where they assault, pepper spray, and punish people for speaking up against dangerous conditions

we forced @beyer.house.gov to visit ICE’s ICA-Farmville and somehow he left saying ICE needs more money 🫠🫠
No. This is not a training issue. They are doing exactly what this administration wants: terrorizing marginalized people and suppressing dissent
Chris Murphy: "The amount of training that's given to an ICE officer has been cut in half by this administration. The number of days of training they get are 47. You know why they get 47 days? As an homage to the vanity of POTUS. No wonder the number of violent incidents are going through the roof."

I'm in my mid-50s. I started organizing against the violence of policing when I was a teenager. I've heard ALL of the so-called "reform" proposals. They are the SAME ONES that liberals are offering in 2026. Cops have never killed more people in my lifetime.

Gotta do something different.

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE can’t be reformed and must be abolished.

I’ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.
