I plan on writing my worst lists next month, and there is only one song on the list I plan on using the word "lazy" for. The number one song of the year.

I have to tackle this one with a lot of care. It's not a song you talked about in your video, which, btw, was awesome.

GO GO GO GO

I think overall it depends on the song. For a song like Try That In a Small Town or Rich Men North of Richmond, that discussion is integral to the DNA of the song.

I don't think it's necessary to discuss politics when dealing with songs like Mystical Magical or Owa Owa, for example.

Agreed!

As much as that is true, I also think overemphasizing it just makes the analysis impossible to enjoy. I'm not watching a pop music analysis to hear about the latest in Donald Grump news. I'm here to hear about why Jessie Murph and Morgan Wallen suck.

The most Todd song ever made

Somebody hasn't listened to Revolving Door

That's absolutely something to be proud of, honestly because getting a following enough to actually affect the charts in some way is impressive in it's own right.

That's still pretty impressive, but in the context of the article that means nothing.

This is exciting. I rewatched part 1 the other day because I've been anticipating.

Ok but Life Is A Highway is actually that good.

Yeah. Can't stand it.

We declared that Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist.

I don't know if there's more to it beyond that but of course the people on Reddit seem to think he's in the wrong because of course they do

He clapped back at someone who criticized his concert for being catered to younger people and people are mad at him for it

For context she got mad that he made a 6-7 joke amongst some other things that are nothing burgers

Actually Romantic
November 4, 2025 at 4:42 AM
I saw it on Todd's subreddit and people actually discussed it and didn't just assume it was correct. If I'm not mistaken, it was WhitePeopleTwitter that looked at it the wrong way.
November 3, 2025 at 1:10 PM
And of course Reddit thinks this is gospel

Very excited to watch the next Billboard Breakdown - one of my favorite songs of the year just debuted (I've known this song for like a year but it's JUST NOW getting there) and I'm intrigued to see your thoughts.

I don't think Christian music is more popular than it was, but instead the opposite.

We're not getting the same level of influence with the bottom 50 songs as we did before, so it makes it easier for these songs to chart.
