There's also the pipeline's route already managed and accessible, and not severe weather or magnetic storm vulnerable. Burying electric power lines is superior.

I don't know the amount of gas the TC energy Canadian Mainline supplies for industrial energy requirements along the route from source, that could switch to electric processing? Or even replace gas powered generation?

I suggest, somewhat seriously, that the 65 year old natgas Transcanada Pipeline that was once held up to switch to dilbit transport (thankfully failed) be re-purposed.
Stuff them with electric power cables for a Transcanada Grid.

I propose laws that clearly label ANY "AI"CONTENT at origin, as an easily noticed and broadly communicated form. Some sort of AI watermark, with penalties for removal then disseminating publicly without it.
