afnqur < Arabic faqara "dig" (not in Darja that I know of! feels like quite an archaism)
Not sure what's going on with the other two...

It's a weird kind of morphology - no specific identifiable function, or maybe too specific (a morpheme that forms words for 'splinter' from materials or tools that produce them??)

So where does the -n- come from? Not any regular process...
