Today’s pub crawl is Leyton to Wanstead, first stop is The Northcote Arms. Four good beers on cask, with 2x Five Points, a Brew York and Hobson’s. It’s a friendly pub that hosts lots of events, including Drag Cabaret on Sunday nights.

Meet Arend, the newest member of our family, purchased in Arend’s Nest, Amsterdam. He’s out for his first @craftybeergirls.bsky.social meet up, starting in Ye Three Lords, Minories. A good selection of cask beers and I went for the Ruby Mild.

Day 3 is a gentle one. Started off in the Art Zoo and then the canal museum, both very interesting. Bar 1 was Lagerhuys; a good selection inc some French sour beers. Stop 2 is Cafe Gollem Raamsteeg; once again the usual big selection of beers to choose from, I went for Gouden Carolous Tripel

Not only did our Eurostar make it to Amsterdam, we were 5 minutes early and were able to check into our hotel early too. Starting off In De Wildeman before heading to a couple of other bars and then walking the light festival which at this rate we’ll be doing whilst it’s snowing!

New diary and first pub crawl of the year with 8 venues planned. First stop is Coach and Horses. Stoke Newington, which has 3 good cask beers and a rather unexpectedly good bottle selection (not telling 🤣)

If you want a recommendation for a special occasion meal I can’t recommend Cafe Spice Namaste by Syrus and Pervin Todiwala enough. The welcome, food, drinks and service was wonderful. A Duck Tikka was especially delicious.

It’s been a lovely relaxing couple of days for me and @gamerdrinker.bsky.social with delicious venison for lunch both days and just had some lovely cheese including a really oozy Gorgonzola dolce. All washed down with my favourite champagne, a Moldovan red, a Pet Nat and some lovely beers.🎄🥂🍻🦌🧀

Finchley is a ball ache to get to! We started the day in the Bohemia where they had Stollen Stout collab between @elusivebrewing.com & LBC which helped. Alas King of Prussia wasn’t worth the effort. We are now in Tipsy Dog, Hampstead which is great. Found a St Bernardus x Weihenstephan collab too 🍻👍

Starting in Crystal Palace today. First stop The Douglas Fir which is now independent but remains a nice Micro pub. Stop 2 was Westow House - we walked in & straight out again. Stop 3 was Hop Scotch Tap - more a cafe than bar but they did have Naughty & Nice by Vocation in cans so that was good.
