TFW you get held up by another bike bus on your way to bike bus.

In a strange coincidence, I passed by their ghost bike for the first time just a few days ago without any intention to do so.

Droste effect on the MARC train bicycle instructions.

This seems like a much improved wetlands.

I rode 9.7 miles of new to me roads (marked in blue), that mostly sucked because it included South Dakota and Eastern Avenue. #TranspoBINGO

Fifth #TranspoBINGO trip, I'm tentatively claiming "Be a Transpo Over-Achiever (Car Free Week)" with this grocery run.

Finally, after the good, bad, and ugly, we rode with a few dozen of our closest friends! #TranspoBINGO #bikedc

But then it's the good stuff: dedicated trails adjacent to public transit! Long live the Met Branch! #TranspoBINGO

Speaking of getting to the MBT: it's awful. I see so many young kids trying to navigate this on their way to school. #TranspoBINGO
February 28, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Which means he navigates sketchy-ass Kennedy Street twice a day. IMO this should be a top priority corridor for safe active transportation infrastructure. It's the only E/W route between RCP and Ft. Totten / MBT and it sucks! #TranspoBINGO

Bumped into same kid from yesterday riding to Latin again. He does this commute every day... #TranspoBINGO

Starts off doing it in the park, Rock Creek Park. Oh yeah! 🎶 #TranspoBINGO

Fourth #TranspoBINGO trip and it's my favorite transit mode: BIKE BUS!
February 28, 2025 at 3:48 PM
For my third #TranspoBINGO trip, I'm claiming the "Find a Future Transit Spot" square on my way home past this under construction Purple Line stop near UMD.
February 27, 2025 at 11:23 PM
My second #TranspoBINGO trip was Brookland to College Park and I'm claiming the "Transpo via a Dedicated Trail or Lane" square with this incredible commute.
February 27, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Finally, I'm claiming the "Thank a Transpo Hero" square for this trip. This is Bernardo, a Mundo Verde school facilities manager (and parent) who has taken it upon himself to protect kids arriving at school every day from the dangers of cars. Thank you Bernardo! #TranspoBINGO

Next up is Kennedy Street near Georgia Avenue, where Zy'aire Joshua was killed at just four years old. Very little has changed here since his death. Passing through is a grim reminder that our dominant transportation system routinely kills children. #TranspoBINGO

I was passed by this kid who I see frequently on his way to school at, I believe, Latin. Goes to show that a safe active transportation network empowers kids, giving them independence and autonomy. #TranspoBINGO
February 27, 2025 at 4:49 PM
It's the start of #TranspoBINGO! My first trip was by bike, where things started off in Rock Creek Park. I am forever grateful to the National Park Service for eliminating through traffic for cars on this part of Beach Drive! It's an active transportation paradise!

Turnout at MV (C8) seems pretty comparable.
