BREAKING: President Trump has withdrawn the U.S. from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

This move will erode efforts to protect universal human rights and undermine the work of international bodies that hold all governments accountable.

When Congressman John Lewis was a child, he tried to get a library card. He was turned away & told “The Library is not for coloureds” 💔

He’s a civil rights icon, lover of books, recipient of the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature.

“The Library IS for Everyone” 💚

BREAKING: Acting FBI director confirms DOJ has ordered him to fire 8 FBI executives & share the names of every employee who worked on the January 6th insurrection cases.

What a world when the Nazi who wore the "Camp Auschwitz" shirt is pardoned & the people who convicted him are punished. Horrific.

We say that people don't notice constitutional regime collapse because it comes on too slowly but I'm not sure how much faster it could be happening; we are literally at concentration camps on day 9.

Remember, today especially, that MLK said America suffers not just from "the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people." Keep the faith. Keep up the fight.

Martin Luther King, Jr. fought to end our nation's deliberate neglect and abuse of Black Americans. He was relentlessly targeted by our government for his views and pursuit of equality.

At this pivotal moment, we honor his legacy by fighting injustice in all its forms, with everything we've got.

This is a super-cool piece, and it's something that I think about in terms of writing, too--especially with regard to world-building. We don't often consciously think too much about the clothing we wear, but it does have meaning. @dieworkwear.bsky.social has also discussed [men's] fashion & class.
A powerful piece by my better half, Ayesha. The power of activism in apparel, and how fashion can drive social change.
