Abnormal metabolic profiles in MISC and pediatric COVID:

“Despite milder clinical respiratory symptoms, children’s metabolic disturbances mirrored those seen in severe adult COVID-19 patients, indicating a shared inflammatory response to SARS-CoV-2.”

Even 2 years after post #COVID19 MISC, kids still have more somatic symptoms than control children.

Those with severe MISC also had worse executive functioning.

Resolvin, ex vivo, can ⬇️ IL-1B and restore monocyte MDW.

Diagnosing #LongCOVID in kids is challenging. We know because we asked pediatric providers!

Here is what we found:
- there’s ambiguity of signs/symptoms
- high variability on work up and referrals
- there’s some bias in who to evaluate
