Based on my experience travelling to industrial areas (Midwest ect) for work I think 2008 was already higher than say 2002 too. At the start of the decade many people thought I was eager to move to the US but by the end it was less common for people to assume I would want to leave Canada.

He’s a smart guy but I think he thinks he’s even smarter than he is. It would work well if he embraced teamwork and delegated to people with more expertise. And also if he was confident enough in his approach to share details.

Well everyone was trying to work together except the ID docs who wanted to be in charge and branded themselves as skeptical rather than curious. What a shame.

The hospital where he works is across a parking lot from the mechanical engineering building at Queen’s University where I learned a lot of this stuff. I’m pretty sure someone would have helped him understand a better way back when everyone was working together on stuff.

I remember his threads on Twitter claiming that handwashing was sufficient ect. I also wonder if staff would be more inclined to take personal steps to decrease infection if their employer was seen taking steps to systematically protect everyone with proven mechanistic precautions?
