I was telling husband “how am I supposed to think of 3 days of stuff for kid to do over the long weekend” when he reminded me his uncle died yesterday and they were hoping to have services next weekend. I immediately said “oh thank God!” So if you’re wondering how parenting is going….just great.

Oh good. Come down with another illness one day after recovering from one. Kiddo is averaging 4 hours of sleep a night. And the country is falling apart in front of our eyes. But sure, let’s go to work like it’s a normal day.

There is a direct correlation somewhere between how tired I am, how angry I’m feeling, and how many minutes past bedtime the kid will refuse to fall asleep

My now husband worked many overnight shifts when we started dating. He’d send me a text in the morning when he got home. One morning I hadn’t heard from him, so I texted “is everything ok? I love you!” His tired ass texted back “fucking Dick Cheney” and he then promptly went to bed.

Moving to a city that hands our “I voted” stickers gives me such joy. Only local elections for me today, but still got out to have my voice heard!

Due to the time change, toddler fell asleep an hour early, but woke up this morning 90 minutes early. We can have this time changing madness stop now.
